Two Brothers Brewery

Today I visited the Two Brothers Brewery in Moorabbin. What a great venue! They serve beer straight from tanks that they managed to salvage from the bankrupt Times Square Brewery in New York. Quite an achievement just to get them here in the first place. Their beerhall and bar is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday as well as on Sunday during Summer.
The beers that I sampled were:
1. Kung Foo, Rice Lager, 4.6% abv, this is a pale straw coloured lager with a subtle hop aroma and is a mild tasting, easy drinking, sessionable beer that has a crisp, clean finish.
2. Taxi, Pilsner, 4.7% abv, this is an award winning, German style lager that has a lovely golden colour and a clean, sweet malty taste with a light hop finish. Truly refreshing!
3. Pay Day, Australian Pale Ale, 4.6% abv, this ale has a light golden colour and a lovely hoppy aroma. It has a malty taste and a subtle hop bitter finish. This is a great example of an Australian Pale Ale and is very approachable, it is easy to see why this beer is their best seller.
4. Lazy Boy, Easy IPA, 4.5% abv, this Ale has a great copper colour and a lovely sweet, citrus aroma. It has a malty initial palate with a subtle hop bitter finish. It is very well balanced and quite sessionable.
5. Voodoo, Baltic Porter, 6.7% abv, this beer has a great chocolate brown colour and strong coffee malt aromas. It has a huge, smooth malty taste that fills the whole mouth with hints of coffee and caramel. Yum!! What a wonderful beer.
6. Grizz, American Amber Ale, 5.7% abv, this Ale has a wonderful dark amber colour, a subtle floral hop and sweet malt aroma and a lovely well balanced smokey malt taste with a slightly bitter finish. Very easy to drink.
I really enjoyed all the beers that I tried at Two Brothers Brewery and highly recommend them, they have a great range that is bound to have something to suit all tastes.
