Sailors Grave Brewing

I found the Sailors Grave Brewing range in the Thirsty Camel bottle shop in Lakes Entrance. The brewery is not open to the public so this is the best way to sample their beers. I bought a few of each and will review them all.
1. Southern Right Ale, 4.7% abv, this golden coloured ale has a subtle malt aroma and a mild malty taste that has a gentle hop bitter finish.
2. Whisky Sour Berliner Weiss, 4.3% abv, this is a slightly cloudy, straw coloured beer with a very subtle citrus aroma. It has an initial buttery taste and a mild sour, crisp finish. Quite lovely.
3. Drowned Man IPA, 4.8% abv, this is a golden coloured ale with a lovely sweet floral aroma. It has a strong hop bitter taste that is quite crisp on the finish. At 4.8% abv this is a rather sessionable IPA that is not overpowering.
4. Grapefruit and Marigold Saison, 6.0% abv, this is a cloudy straw coloured Saison with a sweet citrus and yeast aroma. It has an initial taste of a traditional Saison and then has hints of grapefruit and a nice slightly sour finish.
5. Down She Gose, 4.5% abv, this is a light straw coloured beer with a subtle sour aroma. This Gose is brewed with seaweed and salt, it has an initial sweet taste before finishing with a mild sour palate that lingers. Very drinkable.

The Sailors Grave Brewery make some unusual beers, but they are all very enjoyable. I would recommend them if you feel like something a little different and can get your hands on them.
